The affection between parents and children is a very complex and mutual exchange which begins during pregnancy and continues through the development process.
The importance of creating and encouraging the beginnings of affection with the parents is one of the main motives of the system, as well as significantly enhancing the baby´s cognitive capacity.
Do not think that by following this method your child will become a genius, but you will have helped enormously in his/her development, enhancing his/her imagination, character and intelligence.
At the end of the 1970´s some intuitive scientists began to investigate how the unborn baby developed and also how it felt. The timid discoveries carried out, encouraged us to create, in 1982 a method of education and communication for the unborn which, later on, would be called Firstart Prenatal Stimulation System.
Investigations were intensified over the next two decades so that, finally, thanks to technical tools, such as sonography, intrauterine photography and ultrasound, the secret of prenatal life was unveiled, dispeling the myth that babies in utero were isolated, insensitive, unaware and dumb. On the contrary, these discoveries revealed them as extremely intelligent human beings ready to learn and communicate with us if the opportunity was given.
The womb represents our first school. In this, our first school, are created the foundations of what will be our future relationships with others; the basis of what will be our intelligence and our health. Pregnancy is the most formative stage in our lives, since, from a simple cell a complete, physical, emotional, social, intellectual and even spiritual human being is formed.
The new findings about our life before birth will probably lead to important changes in medicine and psychology and will steer to a wider conceptualization of the human being which describes the nature of the body, the mind and the spirit.
For all these reasons, pregnancy is not free of consequences. It is a fundamental time of opportunities for the parents to create plentifully loved, completely formed babies and who are authentically prepared to live a full and enjoyable life.
We, as parents, have the duty of making this, our first school, as beautiful,
healthy and stimulating as possible, so that boys and girls, men and women of
tomorrow may be healthier, more intelligent, balanced and just, and thus create,
in turn, a healthier, more intelligent, balanced and just society.
